Binghamton University has Industrial & Systems Engineering while University at Buffalo has Industrial Engineering.

Does anyone have insight on either of these majors or have opinions on which one is more lucrative/rigorous?

Anyone? 10char

bump 10char

Im sorry i wont be able to help much because i attend neither of these schools, however, I’m in the same position because i just switched my major to Industrial Engineering and im undecided to which of these two schools i should tranfer too.

Oh, it’s nice to know someone else is on the same boat. :D

I would say UB. UB has a better engineering department compared to Bing (Bing is just a better school overall academically speaking).

UB and Stony are the real SUNY powerhouse engineering schools.

As for the majors, look at the courses that are apart of each major’s curriculum. See where the overlap is, and where they differ. If you want to attend one school but like the other’s major, just use the electives you have to tailor your major to one similar of the other.

It’s not what major you get that lands you jobs, it’s what you learn. If you tailor your degree right, the end result will be similar.

UB is ranked wayy better than binghamton for engineering and all sciences in general.
