OOS Waiver - Do I qualify?

I was wondering if anyone knows what the criteria is for Clemson's OOS Waiver? For example, I know that my gf qualified for instate tuition. Her stats are something like 4.7 GPA, 1400 SATs, whereas mine are more like...
-3.7 GPA (I'm going to be very disappointed if the cutoff is at 3.8 GPA, as I've seen that number for a few other schools... )
-1400 (2100 total) SATs; exact same as hers
-0 APs (I live in a very, very unintelligent town. My school only offers a few APs, and simply put, they're not worth it. No one passes the exams. Only 5 people in the history of the school have passed the AP Physics exam. They have a wall with their names on it and everything, it's that bad. I didn't take them on principle, maybe I should have for the free GPA points?)
-ECs include Bodybuilding/Weightlifting and Martial Arts

what’s your class rank? I think that you qualify for an OOS waiver if you are in the top 10% of your high school graduating class and if you have a 1350/1600 on the SAT

I am ranked 29 out of 464, so I’m at the 6.25% mark. I hope you’re right!

Do you have to take the sat to qualify? I plan on only taking the act, which is much more popular cause I live in the Midwest

you will need at least a 31 on the ACT

Do you know if it’s possible to call admissions and ask for the criteria on the OOS Waiver?

you could, I doubt they would give you much more information than the website does, maybe you can luck out and get a nice helpful person

I sent an e-mail in, and was told the same thing, Pierre. Hopefully I’ll qualify, then. Thanks for your help.

Do you have to be in the top 10%?
My son is about top 15% but has a 33 ACT and a 1580/1600 2290/2400 SAT.

No, the website says that scholarship recipients are typically in the top 10% of their class so there’s a chance your son will get a scholarship but it would be more certain if he was in the top 10% of his class. They probably will take the prestige of your high school into account.

i’m confused. i toured at clemson this summer and they specifically said that they NO LONGER offer the OOS waiver, but that they used to several years ago. so is this waiver ya’ll are referring to some other scholarship?

msheard, they still offer the OOS tuition waiver scholarship.

well the name for their scholarships is “Academic Recruiting Scholarships” and nowhere on the financial aid website do they mention OOS waivers but apparently they are still handing those out in scholarship money.

i just believe that Clemson doesn’t call it the “OOS tuition waiver” anymore; like pierre0913 said, they call it an “academic recruiting scholarship” (but what i’ve been offered is eqivalent to an OOS tuition waiver)
