No letters yet. At this point, we're harboring the secret (and completely unfounded) hope that it's an especially good sign that we've been spared...

lol i got my letter today (3/13)..the postmark was 2/25

^ same! It finally arrived. I am thinking a flat of these letters failed to leave the post office on time. BUT... while I appreciate the variant delivery methods of the US Postal system, I readily admit that I am glad to know admission decisions are made online!

Those who haven't received the letter, don't worry. I didn't get it, but today I got my admittance letter.

Ok.. great.. now I wonder: did anyone who got an early write ALSO get the letter? Otherwise, maybe they DONT send to all ....

Well, though I did not get the letter, my mom got the letter saying 'your child has received the letter a few days ago' etc. So I think they meant to send it but it didn't get to me.

haha yes, thank goodness for online decisions, or come may we'd still be waiting!

Modadunn:

Two days ago we received both the parent letter and student letter explaining how they evaluate applicants. Today in the mail we got an early acceptance letter, so I wouldn't worry just yet...

Good luck...The waiting is sure a difficult thing for both parents and students...

I still haven't gotten a letter (either the student one or the parent one). I live in the southwest, so maybe it just takes a while to get here? Have other people still not gotten one?

Also, what is an "early write"?

frogger, an early write is simply an acceptance letter that is mailed before the ordinary decision day.

Oh. Thanks :) Do they send a lot of those? Or is it just the CC group? Seems like theres been 3 or 4 here.

I got it here in North Florida (relatively rural) yesterday

Ohh, I just got it today.
In upstate NY.

i got one today in texas :)...oddly enough i never got the "how we evaluate" letter, but i think that's just a coincidence. go midd!

I figure it would be a huge leap to get some sort of early write from any of the schools S applied to. He is solid student, well within and a little outside the 75% and all the other typical bells and whistles, but nothing that would set him on fire to admissions. He is neither legacy or recruit (has no hook).

As it is, Spring break started for them this week and unfortunately for him he is having to have his wisdom teeth removed which axed any trip to mexico or similar. But seriously, between spring sports (as capt) and trying to find time to see schools to make a decision, there was just no other time! I just want what has been a disappointing process thus far to get better... and soon! Seriously, his senior year is kind of not fun at all and it's almost over.

My how-we-evaluate-applicants letter came today... postmarked 2-25. It took almost a month! I live in Washington.

i wish i had an early write. congrats to all who do!

A month? that's a long time.

my parents got the "we just sent a letter to your child" one from midd.
I still have not received this letter. I only live about 2 hours from campus. fail.

Like I said.. it could be you get an early write but it would come AFTER regular decisions are online. Based on this postal mess, I think online decisions are in Midd's best interest!!! :)

I got this letter too. So did 2 other applicants from my school... maybe Midd sends this letter to every applicant. What a waste of money and paper, lol.
