@ NaderMekadis: ok thanks…
Well I think -1=790 is not this bad. Some of the practice tests in the SAT study guide have like -1=750.

Guys, if you guys remember any answers for Mexican & Spanish short passage, please post them!

dude, that is not bad at all. haha! it rarely happens these days to have a -1 = 790…

Isn’t the cr and writing curve kinda harsh though? Or is that pretty normal?.. I wish they changed the curve depending on the scores they get this time too…

whats the curve for Writing???

@actorsat I only remember the first question, I chose that language was changing.
I’m not sure but did the second question have to do with metamorphosis? I think it did, my answer was it supported his prediction.

^ could you remember the choices from the first question??

There were “change in pattern of language”, “Unity in Latino”…

I remember I put changes in language patterns for sure, I felt it was the only that made sense so I didn’t dwell on the other choices. Don’t remember sorry

duuudee all these rumours of a harsh curve are soo false!! the actual curve for the march 2009 SAT was as follows::
Math:
800 = 54
790 = 53
760 = 52
740 = 51
720 = 50
710 = 49
700 = 48
690 = 47
680 = 46

Critical Reading:
800 = 67
800 = 66
800 = 65
790 = 64
???

Writing:
80MC 12E = 800
80MC 11E = 800
80MC 10E = 800
80MC 9E = 780
80MC 8E = 760
77MC 12E = 800
77MC 11E = 800
77MC 10E = 780
77MC 9E = 760
77MC 8E = 740
74MC 12E = 800
74MC 11E = 780
74MC 10E = 760
74MC 9E = ?
74MC 8E= 720
???

The reason why it is mellifluous and euphony is because euphony means sweet sounding words, and mellifluous means sweet sounding voice. The question related to the voice of the singer and not the words she sung, so the answer is mellifluous.

euphony: pleasing or sweet sound…
[Dictionary and Thesaurus - Merriam-Webster Online](http://www.merriam-webster.com/)

-DH
Euphony: Soothing or pleasant sounds; harmonious
I REALLY FEEL BOTH ANSWERS WORK!! :’(

Yes, euphony does mean sweet or pleasing sounds, but it refers to how words sound, and so does cacophony. Mellifluous refers to the voice itself. You could sing a long with a mellifluous voice but with lyrics that are cacophonical.

:S :’( I hate that!!! I hate that i got it wrong…can u remember other questions for Sentence Completion
-florid
-malfeasance
-pastoral
-intemperance/inimical
-mellifluous
-guilt/compunction
-superficial/compromising
-commended/invited
-stark/cerebral
-controversy
-innuendo

Why do I keep thinking it’s “To the people of (from?) the 80s…” vs “For the people of the 80s?”

If that question was no error, could somebody please explain?

Do u guys remember the froglets hatching one in the writing section? what was the answer??

And about the artist recording something over and over again question(in CR section), can someone tell me it was choice D or E?

The Spanish passage:
- verifies the auther’s prediction?
- the language pattern will be changed?

and I remember there was a “innovative” in setence completion…probably in the first CR section

@Nikitaari I am sure that the correct answers for the Spanish passage are these two. In the first question, “language pattern” is the only option concerning language which is the main idea of the whole passage.
An identifying sentence error question about “Until recently, smoking is prohibited (or something) in someplace, but theaters are increasingly allowing this practice.” I put A(is) because it should be “has been” or “was”. Is this correct?

@zth0908123 I put A, too.
Do u remember the froglets hatching one in section 10? what was the answer??

And about the artist recording something over and over again question(in CR section), can someone tell me it was choice D or E
