Are you expecting a perfect score, john9811? lol

okk and information about curve is -7 is 700… -8 is 690

^Vivacious

I’ve narrowed down my faults to 2, one being the antediluvian vocab question and another being the ‘refuge from chaos of life’ of the Alu passage. Only question I’m still having qualms about is the comic strip question number 1, which I totally forgot which I picked as I had a last minute change of answers.

@john9811 Did you choose unique or archetypical? It seems like 50:50…

I chose unique.

^nirvana

Unique. It’s 99.99% that answer as :
a) archetypical (choice B)'s meaning was almost the same as choice A’s.
b) The question had a change in tones between, where it first stated that dispute/disagreements were a constant since ancient times, and when some contemporary people stated that it was ____(unique), it is untrue. Archetypical roughly means constant, and that couldn’t be untrue at all.

I think I got 4 wrong (raw score -5) in reading… Hope the curve is lenient and that it’s at least 750.

@john9811 THANKSSSSS :). My friend was arguing that it was archetypical!

Math curve (damn that’s harsh!):

approx.
54 800
53 760
52 740
51 730

CR curve:
-2 (-2 raw score) = 800
-2 plus one omit (-3 of raw score) = 790
-4 (-5 raw score) , 760
-9 on CR (-11 raw score) = 680

It’s still hazy on the CR part as there’s conflicting information, but that should give you a ballpark estimate.

^nirvana

No problem =).

Anyone still remember what’s the other options for comic strip question number 1? Damn, it’s the only barrier between my dream score now LOL!

Nirvana1234,

When you say that -8 = 670, do you mean 57/67=690?

Does anyone know the curve (from 2008 possibly?)
What do you think is the raw score for a 700? 750?
I believed the CR section was quite difficult this test, so let’s all hope for a lenient curve.

^damaan and junaid

See my post above, I’ve extracted those curves from test takers from the 08 thread.
A 760 would be 4 errors so a 750 would be either 4 errors + 1 omit or not in the scale at all.
The -8 would be referring to 8 errors, or 57/67.

yeahh I meant 57/67 = 690 sadly… I really studied hard to get 700 range but I failed :(

Oh, shoot. Illusion probably end up getting a 690 as well (assuming no more errors). I got the easiest of the easy SCs wrong and bombed my 710 :(

Haha, I missed your post.
Thanks john9811

Can anyone provide me with the elephants passage and the artifact passage ?

Hey guys,

If the Jan 2011 test was the same one as ours, then this should be helpful to determine a score:

The site’s curves are for the US test, not the international test unfortunately…

guys anyone remembers what were the other answers in the question about alus eagerness or something also about poetry passage poetry golden age was characterized as what? thanks
