Interview Selectivity?

This situation strikes me a little odd. I live in a town a few hours outside of any major metropolitan area, and out of the three people in my school who applied to Harvard, I am the only one without an interview so far. I am fairly sure we are going to be matched with the same interview coordinator, as I said before, we live in a rural area. This wouldn't strike me so odd, but one of the other applicants applied after I did, so I don't really know why I am not getting a chance to interview like they are. Could I have a different interviewer? Thanks in advance.

Very possible.

I don't know about how Harvard works, as I got contacted by the Harvard Club of San Francisco and so did some of the other applicants at my school. We had to RSVP for the interviews and send in pre-interview forms and so I'm sure that they got everyone.

My best friend and I applied to Columbia among some others although I haven't been talking about this stuff with the other people in my class. My best friend already had her Columbia interview with an alumni but I haven't been contacted at all. I sent in my application before she did too but I'm quite sure that it doesn't mean anything. I just believe that I might have been sent to another interviewer that is far more busy with interviews and perhaps a personal life as well.

Therefore, don't fret. I'm sure it'll occur eventually. I sent my application in late-October and was only contacted about my Harvard interview less than two weeks ago so it may take a while depending on how your region sets it up.

Thanks. Yeah I didn't know how centralized the Harvard interview system is here in Kansas. I'm pretty sure we are in the Kansas City one, but I could be a few others, who knows. An even weirder part was the two of the others got an e-mail on the same day, and I didn't, so they might have gotten the same interviewer and I have someone else. From one of them who just did theirs, he did not seem to be very well organized. So who knows?
