Interview- yesterday

I had an interview yesterday. I think that's kind of odd given how late it is. Did anyone else have/ had an interview this late into the admissions process?

I had a Yale interview 2 days ago...

Shows you how (un)important the interview is in the process.

^^Agreed. Ivy interviews can only help you if they're phenomenal, or hurt you if they're awful. Otherwise it does very little unless they fill a gaping hole in your app.

i agree. my interviewer for Yale and princeton just talked about the school the whole time, and only asked me the basic question of "tell me about yourself." it felt more like they were trying to sell the school to me than actually interviewing me. :P.
I liked my MIT interviewer the best. It felt like I was having an actual conversation with him.

I had my interview Sunday. shrugs

D had a phone interview on Sunday. Aren't they all off on spring break this week in the admissions office, anyway?

I had my interview on Saturday and it was my last one.
The guy was like "I think I was supposed to do this a few weeks ago but I've been really busy at work," which just made me thankful that the interview isn't a huge part of the admissions decision because I don't even know if it will get there in time to make a difference.

Vanilea - from what I've heard, interviews at MIT matter much more than interviews at any Ivy. So maybe that's why your MIT interview was good...pretty much everyone I've talked to that interviewed there said the interview/interviewer was awesome.

The Princeton interview's purpose is to give you an opportunity to learn more about the school from an alum. It is NOT a test of any sort.

According to my interviewer, the Admissions Office just wants to make sure that your questions about Princeton are answered and that you aren't a total psychopath.
