Interview

I know it's been posted before, but I just want to be sure about it.

Since I was deferred and never got an interview, would it help emailing my regional officer requesting an interview? I don't want to appear annoying given that they're under a lot of stress and pressure.

I'd do it. However, know in advance that you might be in an area with a dearth of volunteers an no interview will be possible. And don't let it stress you either way -- it's the thinnest part of your evaluation.

Well, I got a Harvard interview, and he says he also does yale interviews, and he mentioned there was another person who does Yale interviews in my area.

so if you want an interview, do you have to contact the regional officers directly?

Hmm I applied a little over a week ago RD to Yale and still haven't gotten an interview.

marcjacobs: read the sticky thread about RD interviews. You don't contact anyone. You may or may not be contacted for one. And chandler, i assume you're being ironic, poking fun at the CC paranoia that often emerges, eh?

they contact you. don't worry about interviews so much because they account for very little. this is because they can't guarantee interviews to everyone, so it wouldn't fair if they put a lot of weight on them. i also didn't get my interview until a week before decisions came out in late march so i'm sure it didn't matter that much lol. it was just an opportunity to learn more about yale.
