As of yet I have not been contacted for my interview. Does that mean that they will not contact me at all?

I haven't been contacted either. The interviews are due into Yale December 1. Thus, it's probably unlikely we'll be contacted.

I never got contacted either, and I have concluded that I never will be. Oh well, at least we aren't alone in this.

Ditto :(

Wouldn't it be nice if we weren't interviewed because they knew they wanted all of us! Wishful thinking I suppose.

Do you think that if we get deferred, we can have an interview for the RD round?

That is an interesting question. I have no idea.

I'm hoping so.

We are either the shoo ins or the rejects. I would go with the latter considering that I did not even brake 1300. The only thing I have going for me is that I am an URM and decent at sports. If you have not been contacted either, how are your stats?

don't give up! i just got contacted yesterday- while i was watching the Yale/Harvard game, in fact.

I'm sure that they haven't narrowed down the list that quickly. About one week ago, I an envelope with one blue piece of paper in it informing me that they had recieved my application (they did not confirm that all of the pieces were in, just the main section). On this blue sheet, they also had a paragraph about interviews, confirming that my high school was not in an area where interviews are present. If you haven't recieved either the blue sheet or instructions for an interview, I would suggest contacting Yale to confirm both your application and the possibility for an interview. Jaman: If you want to make the <1300 less important, try to have a positive interview, if possible.

No, we're not either shoe-ins or rejects. We're simply the unlucky ones whose interviewers are really busy either working or interviewing other people. Or who don't open their mail.

I recieved the blue sheet and my area was 11c/ny so I guess the interviews are available, but I don't know

On the same blue sheet, there's the name and address of your ASC coordinator. However, I guess we're not supposed to contact them. Go figure.

thinking of it, I fear I may slip up in the interview and show my true, radical, side. So I'll forget the interview

I sent all my stuff in October. They DEFINITELY have my things; I even got the post card already saying that they have everything they need to evaluate my stuff.
And I would hope that I am not an automatic reject since I have a 1500, am valedictorian, have sat 2's all over 700, and great ec's recs and essays. Aaaah, this is so frustrating!!! I reaaaally want to go to Yale!!

We all really want to go to Yale. I'm right there with you. I have a countdown going and I'm struggling to not decorate my room with navy everything.

They haven't even opened all the envelopes yet. The interview has everything to do with the interviewer and nothing to do with Yale at this point.

Yes, your stats are great, but try not to make it sound like you feel entitled to go to Yale.

Don't worry all of you. They specifically said that not everyone would get an interview. It's just the same craziness that the rest of the application process is.... it doesn't mean anything other than that you haven't been called for an interview. And you still may get the call yet.

Harvard always gives interviews; Yale doesn't. Don't worry about it.

I think I remember reading they have until Thanksgiving to contact you.... so we have three days people!
