Is a residency affidavit...

required for an admission decision to be made? I thought it said on there that it wasn't required so when I found out I didnt do it online I was procrastinating on sending it by mail, its been over two months though since I applied and still no word, I know its rolling admission but im getting a little annoyed, im about to send it in sometime this week.. im just curious to know if the reason its taking so long is because they dont have the affidavit, or if its just because.

Sorry if my post isnt coherent.

It’s not required… you should re-test if you haven’t done that already, bc all my friends who got admitted heard back pretty fast…

I am in the same boat right now. It has been a little over two months since I sent in my application. When I called about two weeks ago about it and asked if there is anything I can do to speed up the process they said that everything that needed to be turned in at that point was turned in and the residency affidavit didn’t need to be turned in at that point.

They don’t need it for an admissions decision, I messed up the one that you do within the online app, and they mailed me a paper one two weeks after submitting my app, and told me to fill it out again. I got my decision at the end of the month that I applied (October), and didn’t send in the affidavit until I got my acceptance.

It will determine what scholarships you qualify for though (in-state or OOS), so try to get it in by February!
