i got a 28 on my ACT English, so I was one point shy of not having to take enc1101.

I want to learn how to write more efficiently though, since I will be a political science and philosophy double major.

any opinions would be great!

Hahaha, you changed it again! What happened to economics?
I got a 32 on the English portion of the ACT, so I don't have to take it. I would get out of it if you can so you can take other classes.

lol, the only thing i'm sure of is that i want to double major with philosophy.

Are you "planning" on law school? I say that relatively because you seem to change your mind every 10 seconds, haha. I'm not sure that there are many opportunities besides law school with that combination of degrees. Good luck though!

I realized econ. would be so boring to study. Politics will be a blast. Law school sounds great but i'd need to get into a top 14 law school according to the law board, because the market for lawyers is really saturated now.

If you are that close and do want to do such majors I would go ahead and try 2 Clep out of it. 101 is quite basic and there are a plethora of other courses you can take at FSU (we have a phenomenal English Dept). These courses will be more focused and therefore probably help you improve your writing. If you are like me and most people I know by the time you are readying to graduate you will have some credits to spare

I suggest you try and save as much $$ as possible while ensuring you can succeed without the lower level classes.

tomatoking

I would go for it and get it out of the way! Since you are planning to double major you will be glad to have one less class to take!

(FYI - From what the adviser told my dd, Intro to Philosophy is fairly writing intensive.)
