I got an 800 in the sat math section in 7th grade, and many people in my school got similar scores in middle school, too. It cannot relaly be considered an accomplishment, because most of the math on the sat is repetitive from the practice tests. The SAT MAth IIC is also extremely easy, and it has an very lenient curve.

Also, back to the subject, I think this site has a lot of smart people, and I honestly wish I had some of the accomplishments that some of them have, lol.

I know a couple people in my school who are athletes, club officers, volunteer workers, AND in the top 10% of our class... i dunno how they do it.

The chance threads definitely can be intimidating. I read them and feel so inferior. It feels like everyone is a 4.0 student/intel finalist/published researcher/recruited athlete/class president kind of person

The answer is no, and I know that because I’m definitely not “super smart”. Don’t be intimidated by the genuises that go on these boards! They’re not representative of everyone on CC.

I think CC is a combination of those who are moderately intelligent and work hard, and a smaller portion of those who are very intelligent and do or do not work hard. I cannot make any claims as to intelligence, but I have never worked hard; though I have received all high As and 100s this year, I am only even in one honors class. I have not taken the SAT or other such tests, done volunteering, or taken an AP class yet. Not very intimidating, is it?

Not me. Everyone here takes at least 3 AP classes and I struggled through AP Chemistry (only AP class this year.)

I’m not the stereotype of CC. Next year (our school has trimesters), I’m taking a study hall all 3 trimesters (yeah I’m lazy) and only AP Psych and AP Spanish. I dropped AP Calculus next year because Honors Pre-Calculus is evil.
