is having a B in AP Art History bad?

exactly as the question says. I get A's in all my classes including 3 other AP's but i just cant seem to get this one class down. i guess im not art inclined. will it hurt me?

thanks!

hurt you with what, exactly....

i mean, is this class, because it is an elective and an art class, bad to have a b in? im just comparing it to say, us history.

in a nutshell, will it hurt me on my transcript?

well depending on whether you've already taken an art class before, it may not be considered an "elective" at colleges that have an art class requirement

the fact that it's an AP class helps rationalize a B, and it's not so bad if they look at weighted gpa's, but of course an A would always be better. unless you score a 5 on the AP test, then you should be fine, it might just be the teaching style that you couldn't adjust too

It wouldn't seem to impact you much unless you apply to uber-competitive schools or plan to study anything related to art. I wouldn't worry about it; then again, I'm a junior at an uncompetitive-for-this-forum high school in an uncompetitive city, so I could be wrong.

makkuroi, yes its defenitly the teaching style. our only grades are three tests in the semester! so i guess i should get a 5 on the ap test. ok, ive heard its a lot easier than the class which is good. and i still have one more semester of it so i might be able to pull out an a.

ts3433, ill probably be applying to schools in the top 20, top 30, top 40 range so no harvard for me! and no i suck at art which is why i took this class for my art credit which we need to graduate

thanks for the feedback!

a B = bad.......

Try your best to raise it, but I don't think it will kill your chances.

well see, my school is on block schedule so i get two grades for it. and no i cant raise it this 9 weeks (a semester for us). maybe next 9 weeks

Yeah a B, thats basically a reason to kill yourself. Thats a horrible grade and you'll NEVER get into college.
(PLEASE note the sarcasm)
It depends on the teacher, but a B in AP isn't all that bad...
Maybe CC just hasn't gotten to me yet
