Is it a bad idea to transfer back to my old high school my second semester of senior year?

Due to family problems i will have to move my senior year, i have a GPA of 2.5 but all honors/ap/ib classes and im currently working on getting my ib certificate in literature. Im moving to an out of state high school in Texas, but after the first semester I want to move back to my old high school in California. I am pretty advanced in my areas so im okay. I just want to know if transferring for my second semester of senior year will affect my college applications, i just want to go to community college. So is it a bad idea?

This forum is for students transferring from one college to another college. Since your question is about the affect of transferring between HSs on college admissions, you should post on the College Admissions forum.

Actually dontspeak, your question would be a good one to take to the Parents Forum. Some of the people there have had to move for their kid’s senior year of HS and will have useful ideas for you.

Thank you! I’ll make sure i do that:)
