is it too late for College of Engineer at Texas A&M and UT?

I’ve finished my applytexas + the other required documents for each universities, but my SAT scores are taking forever to send electronically :\ It’s been about 2 weeks since I sent them. I’ve been told that the College of Engineering fills up quick and I just want to know if it’s too late already?

At TAMU, the automatic admission requirement in the College of Engineering is to admit 85% of the incoming class automatically and review applicants for the remaining 15%. The first 85% usually fills up at about this time in the year, so there is a chance that you, even as an automatic admit to the university, will be placed in the review pool for Engineering. However, I think you have a pretty good chance at TAMU between your GPA and extracurriculars, assuming your SAT score was good (I’d say approximately a 1950-2100 would suffice).

For UT, the admissions process is not rolling, so it is not “too late” to apply. However, at Cockrell, the admissions process is insanely difficult and you should have at least a 33 ACT/2200 SAT and multiple Engineering-type classes and extracurriculars. For example, I knew a kid with a 36 ACT who didn’t get into Cockrell last year. You are an automatic admit, so you’ll get into the University, but your chances at Engineering are slim.
