is it too late to appeal?

i'm frekaing out because i've seen that a bunch of you have already heard back from your appeals. is it too late for me?

Are you referring to scholarships or admittance?

If you are referring to Scholarships then I think it would not be too late to appeal as we are in the process of doing that at a school now and have been told that the 1st scholarship appeal committee meeting will be the 10th of this month.

no. i’m referring to appealing for the fall term of 09. is it too late then? :frowning: :(

Did you get accepted at all? If so and you want to change to Fall, that’s a term change request, not an appeal. An appeal is if you were not accepted to UF at all. Which are you trying to do?

oh gosh. thanks tzais! yeah, i got admitted during the spring and want to do a term change request. is the process just the same as appealing?

You basically email or fax a letter requesting the term change giving your reasons for doing so.

do we need a copy of our high school transcripts or any new and compelling information? or just that one page paper?

I guess it depends what your reasons are or why you think they should change your term.

I agree Realness. Considering he’s had since February 13th to figure this all out, I doubt the request for term change will get much attention since there are many ahead of him.

great…thanks anyways guys.

Never hurts to try. Email, send updated transcripts and any new info or awards or good things that have hapened. To be honest, as they get closer to May 1 acceptance deadline, they may realize yield is not what they estimated and may open more slots. Go for it, get your name out there and on the list. IT COULD HAPPEN for you,. DO IT. Worst outcome is a no, and spring is better than nothing. But try requesting a term change. IT IS NEVER TOO LATE. Maybe be flexible and ask for fall or summer instead of spring.

thanks sunny!! but do you think i should mail it or email it? because i talked to some lady on the uf phoneline and she said to email a 1 page statement to UF. i thought it’d be more formal to mail it…??

I think it is better to email because you get a response almost right away (not acceptance just a response) They forward your request to two other important admission officers and tell you that an acceptance or rejection will be given to you in mid to late May. Sending it by mail will only prolong things…

thanks master!! my last question is, do i send it to this address: www.freshman.ufl.edu? is that right?
