Is my essay too...teenagerish?

Sorry to bother you guys...but I need some adult eyes to look over my essay.

Its has some slang in it that I am afraid is too my generation...my friends all liked it. And my english teacher liked it too (but he's one of those cool teachers that indulges in teen culture and whatnot so he can relate to his students).

Would anyone mind going over it?

Thanks!

Have you already submitted this essay?

nope...its for my later schools

In that case feel free to PM it to me, I would be happy to read it.

I'm kind of new at this game, but I'd be more than happy to look at it and give you my opinion. P.M. it to me (I hope it doesn't go into my bulk mail) if you'd like.

My S just finished up all his apps and essays....glad that is over with. If you want to PM me, I'd be happy to give you another perspective.

I'm not an adult, but my writing skills are pretty good. I'll read it!

without having read it....

It depends on what your topic was. Was it answering a question about yourself? Slang probably ok. Was it discussing world politics? Slang not ok. And, did you submit more than one essay? If so, they should be written very differently to show diversity so I wouldn't recommend slang in both.

Don't forget that lots of admissions people are very young, just a couple of years out of college.

thanks alot!

Anyone else?

I'm a high school college counselor. I'll read it. Make sure to send me the prompt and the schools you want to send it to.
