Is Texas Tech a party school

Someone told me Texas Tech is a party school. Is this true?

How does a freshman find out where there are and how does one get invited to them?

Well if “guns up” is the school slogan, what do you think the chances are?

I am looking for some leads. I have a freshman who says there are no parties and it is quite boring.

Did your freshman pledge? As I remember when my BF was at Tech, most of the big parties were Greek hosted.

It is not my kid but I am trying to help someone. He says he feels lonely and left out and but is not part of the greek system.

Are there no dorm parties which anyone can attend?

There are lots of non Greek dorm parties, but you really just have to know the right people to get invited. Dorm parties are never that large because they don’t want to get in trouble. Maybe try going to Wild West, Taboo, or any of the clubs to have fun.

But to answer your question, yes Tech DEFINITELY is a party school.

I’m a freshman, and from what I have experienced Tech is a party school for sure. There are dorm parties, but the majority are simply about 5-10 people drinking together. Redraidergirl is correct; dorm parties are usually very small and exclusive because people don’t want to get in trouble or fined. Try making friends with Greek people if you want to get invited to actual large parties.
