Till now,I've heard about many students who (had high SAT scores) got accepted in top competitive colleges. But i haven't got a chance to know about the students who had low SAT scores and still got accepted..
SO i urge all the students of CC to be kind enough to talk(post) about their experience which helped them to get into their dream colleges despite having low SAT scores for acceptance.

Do reply.!!!!

My friend got into Berkeley with a 3.72 and a 1770 Sat. You just need to have really good other aspects.

Ohh,and did he get any scholarships??

Yes he got 4k a year

That’s pretty insane…but I personally know a few outliers myself. Kid had a 3.3 unweighted GPA but 2200 SAT and got into UCB. *Was an individual state debate champion so that might have been a hook for their forensics team.

I know another kid class of 2012 that had a junior year GPA of 2.6 I believe and got into UCB L&S. Overall I believe his GPA was a 3.4-3.5 uw which is kind of low for Berkeley. SAT score was 2000-2100, not really sure. His EC’s were well rounded and demonstrated a strong passion for political science and law related stuff…

As a note, high school failure/success does not have a final say on one’s success in their collegiate career. For example, the individual that is on the Cal Forensics team is currently a senior and maintains a 3.93 in economics and scored a 178 on the LSAT meaning that he has nearly a 90% shot at Yale Law School. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t get into a good undergrad! Good luck

Bro. You got this. It’s a safety. Don’t freak. I suspect they will throw upwards to 25k hour way every year! Relax and wake
