I got a 1470(almost no preparation), November of junior year and I am aiming for 2000's+ when I take my January SAT's.

Take a practice test now and see how high you score. It’s diffcult to improve over 18 days, especially since Winter Break is over

That’s a very lofty goal, a 500+ point jump cannot be achieved within such a short time span. I think a better idea would be to take a subject test at this point that you feel you may do good in (instead of the SAT) and then take the SAT later in your junior year.

Not that realistic.

STUDY STUDY STUDY. Trust me, it helps.

Even if you didn’t study, a sub-1600 score isn’t too great. If you look at 2200+ kids who didn’t study their first time around, they probably scored 1700s and up. I’m not trying to discourage you, it’s still very very possible that you can score well-- you’ve just gotta stick to it!
