I'm having a hard time choosing between IU bloomington and Purdue University. I am a senior at Ben Davis University High School, and I'll hopefully be graduating with an associate's degree from here. I'm trying to research the differences and he similarities as much as possible, but I still can't choose. I'm a very picky person when it comes to everything besides school. I want to major in zoology, animal sciences, or animal behavior. I'd like to become an animal trainer or a zookeeper eventually. I've thought about minoring in either law, criminal investigation, or music (performing arts). If I don't end up becoming an animal trainer, then I'd really like to be a detective or a singer. I was in show choir in middle school and high school, so I'd really like to continue in college if possible. It's not needed though. I'd also be interested in a club that maybe is related to furthering my skills in deduction since I could possibly become a detective, but this isn't needed either. I would like to be close to an animal shelter or maybe a wildlife park, because I am deeply involved in volunteer work and internships. I really want to be close to restaurants and stores, because I'm picky when it comes to school food and I have very specific preferences (I know it sounds extremely stupid, but I can't help it). I'd just rather not be stuck to eating cafeteria food all the time. Also, I'd like to know what kind of cafeteria food each school has, if anyone happens to know. I've already seen the requirements for SAT/ACT scores for each school, but I'd like to know what their view is on GPA. I'd appreciate as much information as you can give me. Thank you for reading! :) :)>-

Have you considered taking a year off after high school so that you can spend time exploring where you want to focus. You seem undecided at this time and which college is best for you will be clearer once you do decide. You can still apply for admission now and then put off beginning your classes for up to a year. That’s what my son did and he was still allowed to keep his admissions scholarships.

During that time, visit each campus and stay for a few days if you can swing that.

If you choose law or music than IUB is definitely the better choice. IUB also has majors in criminal justice and several biology tracks but I don’t know how those compare to Purdue’s offerings. Bloomington has a good bus system that is free to students and plenty of interesting restaurants but again I don’t know how it compares to Purdue. Bloomington is the more beautiful campus if a natural environment is at all important to you.

you might wanna check out IU’s animal behavior program

Since you’re not 100% sure what u wanna do in the future, you should go to Purdue, which most people consider as a better school than IU overall. It also has pretty good cafeteria food too.
