in your opinions, which ivies have the best track programs and which have the worst? I know harvard, yale, but can you refresh the list?

Ecliptica- yea figured harvard would be on the low end... If you were suppose a state champion of NJ would that help for Princeton? or for Harvard?

It's pretty much rule of thumb for Division I schools that 49 and 1:55 are about where recruiting begins for 400/800 runners. Then again, it really depends on the school. A 51 could be good at Harvard where they had no guys under 51 last year. Really depends on what the school needs at the time.

ya a 49 would def b out of reach for me i think. A 51 tho, that is possible. This year time trials for indoor i ran a 54.7 for the 400m nd pretty much i got sick of track and skipped alot. So my time didnt go down but after getting 3rd at counties for the 42 i got my focus back and have been running hard. So im running the 44 and 4*2 at regionals and if i run good splits, i ll set my goals for outdoor and we ll c.

I believe they can't contact you until the July before going into senior year. You can always contact the coaches first though and let them know you're interested.
