Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship 2013-2014

Anyone hear anything yet?

Just the sound of crickets.

No. Just expect it to be august before u hear anything so you won’t be stressed out

My friend was notified on Friday! She was awarded the JKC and was notified by her school. I called today and the lady said they will be announcing this week too.

As a JKCF scholar I wish you all good good luck and I am excited to welcome you guys into the scholar community very soon.

Is that the undergraduate scholarship? They announced the college one last week for students just starting college.

Are u talking about the high school scholars? This is for undergraduate transfer.

No, I am talking about the Transfer Scholarship. I applied for it too and haven’t heard back.

I thought they would email the student. … Strange. But congrats to your friend. I wonder how many others have been notified.

At least we know there’s not much longer to wait. How exciting for the winners! Can’t wait to hear how they were notified!

I called the Foundation a few hours ago and their representative told me that as of today, no one has been notified of their status for the JKCF Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. He explained to me that winners would be getting a phone call from the foundation towards the middle of April and those who are rejected will be receiving an email. He also told me that anyone who says they’ve received a notification thus far must be mistaken.

I’m not trying to be contradictory, but I did want to report what I found out from the Foundation.

I also called today and they told me that they were in the process of notifying recipients.

I honestly think it just depends on who you speak to over there, I called last week and a different representative told me they were running behind and wouldn’t release decisions for a “few more weeks”.

I think all we can do is sit and wait until our personal notifications roll in, everything is simply conjecture until then.

So, two phone calls on the same day yielded the results of: 1. No one will be notified until the middle of April, and 2. They are in the process of notifying recipients. I wonder if I called, would they say they have already notified us ;-)

I was notified today…through my current college’s President…the JKCF called and told them I was selected, and they passed on the good news. I have not heard from JKCF themselves yet!! I’ve been crying allll day!

Congrats to the two scholars of 2014 that have already been notified! I am totally nervous. My phi theta kappa induction is on Friday, if they were going to make it special, they would tell me then, I imagine. Nnnnnnervous!!

Congratulations!!! I would be crying to if I were selected too… I still have hope!

There are too many contradictory statements for me to believe anything. When did they notify your president? Maybe everyone’s school was notified and we just are waiting on them. Although I hope they don’t notify my school. The president probably would forget to tell me, and the faculty might not tell me out of spite.

I called yesterday and spoke to a representative who told me that notifications would begin mid April, and that the winners would receive a phone call while everyone else will receive an email. I specifically asked about schools notifying recipients and he told me that this year the recipients would be notified directly by JKCF because the schools did not make the nominations. Based on what I’ve been reading on here, now I’m just confused.

I was notified by my school this morning that I am among the 85 recipients to be awarded the JKCF Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. Friends, they are notifying now, and they are notifying your school apparently by email.
