Have any of you guys who made it past the first rejection round send an email to ask again?
Also, to all of you guys comparing stats: like yeah, it’s great that you have worked hard and accomplished these things, and good grades can mean a lot, but the people at JAX don’t even see your SAT scores or AP tests or maybe even how much lab experience you have. They look at how passionate you guys are, and passion is a good indicator of how hard you’re willing to work and achieve your best both in and out of the science lab. Stats just reduce you down to any other person. Everyone can have a good gpa or test scores, but I don’t think that makes us human; it makes us another profile, another set of numbers.
So yeah. Rant over.

Just got an email saying “you are a possible candidate” and asking to set up an interview. Has any one else gotten responses recently?
Yeah they sometimes do ask to interview if you’re in a nearby area I think. You can read some old threads on CC on JAX if you want. I haven’t gotten anything yet
I emailed Mr. McKernan and he said that final decisions should be out in 4-5 days. So no worries yet, @ohveer!
