Got accepted academically and deferred for Musical Theatre.

@pepperdice032 you’re not alone. They had over 4000 deferrals. A little less than 1/2 of those have a great shot of getting in regular decision.

I’m from NOVA too! Try not to get down… sometimes these things just aren’t in your control. You will end up where you are meant to be!

Gotta say I’m a little surprised but I’m still confident I’ll get in regular.

@virginia1129: Here too. I assume from your name you in state. If anywhere like NOVA with good schools I think they must have been cautious not to accept too many from certain areas right away. I personally think they are not doing themselves a favor deferring so many, as it discourages kids and many well qualified ones will turn away from the school now. Does anyone know if they will then start to notify of acceptance on a rolling basis between now and end of April? I know accepted kids have until May 1 to notify.
