January 2012: Math Level 2

How was it? How did you do?

this test seemed to be much harder than what I heard about it in the past…omitted 5, definitely one wrong at least

i used barrons and i found it ****ing hard!

physics and chem was alrite though

'twas almost as hard as barrons…probs go like a 35-37 out of 50. thats gonna be like a 730?

Not toooo bad. Was the answer to the last problem 2?

Felt similar to the Barron’s diagnostic test, but with much more focus on the more obscure topics in Probability and Statistics/Pre-Calc than usual. I found the basic function questions to be the easiest. I scored around 680 on Barron’s diagnostic and 630-680 on the other tests. I’m hoping for a 680-720(my raw score is somewhere between 30-35 probably) on this. I am hoping for a nice curve, maybe -8 omit = 800? That would be great. Anything over 700 I’d be content with considering how poorly I did on the much easier test last month.

i omitted like 15…what score am i looking at? i did barrons practice tests and i was getting 680…and i was told i d score around 800 -_- it was too hard

I omitted the last one…what was the answer to the 3x and 6x becoming an integer one?

@ BLN823

If the curve is -8 omit = 800

If you get 0 wrong - 720

If you get 5 wrong - 680

I’d say somewhere between those two seems likely.

Although everyone’s saying it was really hard, so im hoping the curve’s good and i didnt make any mistakes…

Ky123212, you mean the question about 3n/6?

The answer is 2n/3. At least that’s what I put lol.

It seemed easier than the practice tests I took for it. I omitted 4 though, and I’m pretty sure I had a couple of mistakes. Let’s hope for a generous curve.

@ Sothis

Thanks! How was chemistry? I found it easy…hoping the curve for math is a good one.

lol yea just put a value for n and get the answer…

BLN823,

There’s a separate thread for Chemistry lol

I didn’t practice at all and I have no idea about the mathematical terms in English, but I am hoping for at least 700. Omitted 5 and have maybe 4-8 wrong or something.

I thought it was roughly on the same level as the tests on sparknotes. I omitted four and at worse I can have 4 more wrong. So I am hoping for a good score.

What is the minimum RAW score for 800?

Oh, and to whoever asked about the integer question, I don’t remember it completely but there was an option which was twice the fraction we were given, that is, we were given “(something)x/6”, and an option was “(something)x/3”. Since it is twice that number, it is an integer too. That is what I marked AFAIR.

For the recursive question it said a1= was 3 and it was n>1, so does the first five terms include 3 and start at 6?

What was the answer to the airplane one? Was it like 2.2 or something like that (Forgot the decimal place number)?
