Anyone live there? It looks like a really nice place.

It’s not nicer than most of the other big complexes.
I would say it’s worth the money if you wait until August or so when they’re desperate to fill the place. Right now they are going to extort you for every penny they can get.

I wonder if it’ll be good to wait until August. Many projects were under construction last summer and many people didn’t want to commit to them until they were really sure they’d be ready for the new school year, and so they had to lower rents dramatically in the last couple of months to fill them up. Now that they are done, that’s not a factor.

I’d like to get a 4 room apartment, but I don’t know anyone at UT. Does anyone know if they’ll set up 4 random people to share an apartment or will I have find people to share it with me myself?

theloneranger, what complexes do you think are nicer?

vintage west campus and texan west campus are nicer.
also quarters nueces house is really nice too - but j26 is still not bad.

j26 has a roommate match service. they will help you find people to live with.

texas2000

whats your asl? im looking for roommates at j26

i’m a 25 year old male going there for grad school

check out a place called the triangle

j26 looks nice, however it has paper thin walls and from my experience, loud music and parties pretty much every weekend.
If you’re looking for someplace quieter, look for a small complex (often less expensive). There are plenty in West campus and that way you can still be close to the parties.

Since you’re going for grad school…most of the Grad students I know choose to live in North Campus because it is generally much quieter. (No drunken frat/sorority undergrads puking on the streets etc.) It is also significantly cheaper because it is further from campus.
