What are the typical job offers/recruitment opportunities after graduation? What are some offers you have had or those of Yale grads you know? I'm specifically interested in the business job market and wondering if there are still opportunities for Yale grads to land the major consulting/investing jobs without undergrad business.

I just graduated and I am working in finance right now. There are lots of opportunities for Yale students in banking, consulting, marketing, journalism, whatver you want. All the big investment banks and consulting firms come to recruit on campus, along with a number of hedge funds (Citadel and Bridgewater are among the bigger recruiters) and some PE firms. One of my professors ran a PE shop and always had hedge fund opportunties to pass on, and one of the econ professors runs his own hedge fund and hires some of his students into it. Yale is definitely a good place to look for jobs.

Are you sure that Citadel goes to Yale to recruit? On their website, they list the campuses where they recruited for 2005: https://www.citadelgroup.com/careers/recruiting_campus_events_schools.html. I'm surprised that Yale's not on the list.

Hmm... Citadel has recruited at Yale in the past (I have buds of mine working there who got the job via on campus recruiting). Either they haven't scheduled the Yale event for 2005 yet or they aren't coming this year for whatever reason.
