<p>Does anyone know how difficult it is to get a job in Gainesville in August? I currently work for Old Navy and would be able to transfer to the Old Navy up there.</p>
<p>The only thing is that my current Old Navy is not giving me enough hours and I cannot afford to keep working there. Now I have a new job at a local pet store, which is great, except there are no transfer opportunities. If anyone knows how hard it is to get a job/when I should start looking for one (I need 40 hours a week), pleeeease let me know!</p>
<p>You can always get a campus job, or one of those telemarketing-type jobs. But I don't think it's that hard to get a job if you apply at the right time (beginning of school, christmas break, etc) If you are an incoming freshman (full time), I highly discourage you working 40 hours a week, it might take a toll on your grades, and social life for that matter.</p>
<p>Yeah, I have to have 40 hours a week to afford my apartment. I'm used to juggling tons of hours and tons of school. I'm not really a "social life" person.</p>
