I think you should definitely be able to explain your situation Freshman year and your work for getting AP physics at your school in the additional information section of your applications. Or you could write an awesome essay about it.
The things that are going to hurt you the most right now are the standarized tests. I would take the SATs in October just to see how you do.
Brown is a reach for everyone.
Northwestern-high match
Uof C-high match
JHU-high match

Brown: Reach
Northwestern: Low Reach
UChicago: Match
Hopkins: Match

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/742913-chance-self-titled-envirohippy-will-chance-back.html#post1062870274

Johns Hopkins EA: high match
and Regular Decision: low reach
Brown EA: low reach
and Regular Decision: low reach
U-Chicago: unknown
Northwestern: unknown

Yeah, your GPA can be a bit better which would give yoou a great shot at all of em!

Thanks for chancing me!

Johns Hopkins EA/Regular Decision: High Match/ Low Reach to Reach
Brown EA/Regular Decision: Low Reach/Reach
U-Chicago: Match
Northwestern: High Match

Some people might disagree with me in putting NW as higher than UChicago, but their acceptance rates are nearly identical, as are their yields. This might change, but as of now, I’d say for your application (academic focused vs. academic/athletic mix) your shot is a bit better at UChicago. But I do think you’re fully capable of both.

Johns Hopkins EA and Regular Decision: low reach
Brown EA and Regular Decision: reach
U-Chicago: idk
Northwestern: idk
wish i was more helpful! :/

all are very low reaches for you. Be passionate and express it in th essay and remember sometimes its just a crapshoot.

JHU: low reach
Northwestern: high match
Brown: reach
UChicago: high match

JHU: match
Northwestern: low reach
Brown: reach
UChicago: low reach

I think JHU you can get in EA, Brown is like 60/40 in your favor, Chicago is a slight reach, and Northwestern is also a slight reach. However, you can make those reaches matches if you write killer essays especially for UChicago

Northwestern = Match/High Match
Brown = Reach
JHU = High Match

GPA is a little low, but I know nothing about your school, so that really would depend.
Good ACT score… just wondering… how many times did you take it?
Johns Hopkins EA and Regular Decision: close reach/match
Brown EA and Regular Decision: I suggest applying reg. decision if you have an upward trend in gpa so that you show yourself in the best way you can… you know? reach
U-Chicago: low reach?
Northwestern: high match, I think.

Good luck!

Johns Hopkins EA and Regular Decision:EA- in, REg- match
Brown EA and Regular Decision: reach (low acceptance rate)
U-Chicago:if you have great recs and essays- in for sure
Northwestern:in

please chance back!!!

good ACT your GPA is low. i would say JHU is a reach along with brown maybe apply ED or EA and see what happens

good luck
chance back please

if u can get 34 act, and 2200+ i think jhu would be good match.
pls chance me!
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/757122-please-chance-me-johns-hopkins-university-college-arts-sciences.html?highlight=johns+hopkins+chance

If you get that 34, it would help a lot. as it is, i would call NW, Chicago and JHU low reaches, and brown a reach. maybe 50% shot at the first three and 15% at Brown. chance back?

Johns Hopkins EA and Regular Decision:high match
Brown EA and Regular Decision:low reach
U-Chicago: match
Northwestern: match
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/756915-what-my-chances-cornell-umich-penn-st-rice-madison-nyu-will-chance-back.html

Hopkins doesn’t have EA, it’s binding ED…

Not sure what you’re chances are…but JHU doesn’t have EA. Only ED and regular.
and i think JHU is a high match, brown is a reach, and the others are matches.
good luck http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/712633-what-my-chances.html
