<p>I think you should definitely be able to explain your situation Freshman year and your work for getting AP physics at your school in the additional information section of your applications. Or you could write an awesome essay about it.
The things that are going to hurt you the most right now are the standarized tests. I would take the SATs in October just to see how you do.

<p>Some people might disagree with me in putting NW as higher than UChicago, but their acceptance rates are nearly identical, as are their yields. This might change, but as of now, I’d say for your application (academic focused vs. academic/athletic mix) your shot is a bit better at UChicago. But I do think you’re fully capable of both.</p>

<p>I think JHU you can get in EA, Brown is like 60/40 in your favor, Chicago is a slight reach, and Northwestern is also a slight reach. However, you can make those reaches matches if you write killer essays :slight_smile: especially for UChicago</p>

<p>If you get that 34, it would help a lot. as it is, i would call NW, Chicago and JHU low reaches, and brown a reach. maybe 50% shot at the first three and 15% at Brown. chance back?

and i think JHU is a high match, brown is a reach, and the others are matches.
