Oh I’m sorry I misspoke/typed. My UH 101 class I’m holding is Betty Florey’s Dialogue on Humanities and her Honors Fine Arts that I want to keep is Behind the British Mask.

CasinoExec: my CBH 101 class is 12-12:50 on MWF so it is in the middle of that.

Clarification: my primary major is Econ from the Business College but I’m hoping to double major in Poli Sci, and yes that is 14 hours. I want to keep my first semester a bit light since I’m rushing and I’ll be getting involved on campus.

Going light your first semester is always a good idea especially if you’re going greek. That schedule is fine as long as you don’t have problems waking up in the mornings. Just remember that Thursday night is SWAP night so that 9 am on Friday will come quick.

Yes, I know. I originally had only a noon class on Friday but I really wanted the best PSC 101 professor and that was his time. I am an insomniac and a morning person though so I know how to function on little sleep. Plus I love having Thursday free after 9:15 am!

lterry, are you sure that your doing economics in the College of Commerce and Business Administration? Most Economics/Political Science double majors major in economics through the College of Arts and Sciences so they don’t need to take as many business courses.

Despite what was said at Bama Bound, GBA 145 is an optional course that doesn’t satisfy any requirements other than counting towards the number of credits needed for a degree, which most any college level course will do.

SEA_tide, yes this was the way I wanted to do it. BS in Econ from CBA and a BA in Poli Sci from A & S. My primary goal is the BS in Econ and it is very likely that the Poli Sci will just be a minor.

I really wanted the business background because that is something I’m passionate about, and I think that knowledge will serve me better should I decide to go into the business world instead of going to law school.

Are you recommending I skip the compass course?

The majority of information taught in GBA 145 can be gleamed from emails that are sent to every CBA student (remember to schedule an advising appointment for the next semester a few weeks into each semester). If you want a “Welcome to UA” course, take a UH 120 course or two as they count towards UHP requirements. I highly recommend the Honors Common Book Experience courses.

Good point about the advising apt ST. S missed his priority reg by a week as there was a hold and he waited until the last minute to make an apt.
