87 is wrong. Chu Xi re-emphasized the standards of proper behavior for all people in society based on Confucian hierarchies (in order: officials, peasants, craftspeople, merchants) From: chinese_model

The answer to that one had something to do with women. And the question didnt ask which was the lowest class in Chinese social class- I'm pretty sure the question asked something else, although it insinuated upon the social hierarchy.

CollegeAddiction, there was definitely an answer choice along the lines of "merchants were lowest". That wasn't the wording, but it was there and it was the only correct choice.

You guys, we totally rock!!! 88 out of 95? Awesome! lol

Thanks all, it's looking better for me than I thought. Hoping for a good curve (-20 = 800), because this definitely had its share of difficult questions. I didn't do so badly for only studying up to 1914 :)

87 is WRONG... THe spanish never expelled anyone. All they did was keep these people so that they could advance culturally.... I believe the curves going to be something like -25=800, cuz this one was even harder than the one in the small blue book.

momema. They did. Before unification, it's said that they drove out the last muslim empire(?) from the peninsula, because you know muslim had occupied southern Spain and Spain became a strong catholic

oh and are all of the answers on my list correct? I've edited and added some. Volatile's is from like yesterday so it's got some errors

considering about -16 =800 is normal curve, -20=800 is possible, but anything beyond that is too much. Curve doesn't change drastically

"Isabella also resumed the Reconquista with a renewed zeal. The fall of Grenada in 1492 finally ended the Muslim territorial presence on the Spanish mainland, and earned Ferdinand and Isabella renown as protectors of the Catholic Faith." (1492 and the Unification of Spain The Scoop on History-APUSH and more)

38 should be Constantine instead of Constantinople.

uggh w/e... i give up

The Chinese DEFINITELY put the merchants as the lowest class. I've experienced that question 3 times in my AP class this year.

And the Spanish also kicked out Muslims and Jews from the peninsula. Although the Muslims were able to hold out in Granada in the south until like 1492, the Reconquista got rid of the Muslims and Jews.

*39. Reason Sufis were successful: devotion 2 Allah rather than doctrine
*

Are you guys considering this the same answer as assimilating into other countries cultures? Because that was DEFINITELY the answer.

Yay out of 88 questions I've only missed 9 =D =D =D

Here I come 800 =]

No it's different. That would be, for this one around a 740-760.

llpitch: i am curious... What sort of preparation did you have for this sat II? I thought doing well in my AP world class was enough... So far, I got ~22 wrong (what score would that be? 3 of which were omits)..... all of which were details that i have never learned before...

For 88 was there any other convincing choices?.. like bantu dialects, or did the other choices make no sense?

So far i have 14 wrong... I really reallyy hope the other 7 were super easy questions cuz no one remembers them. :p

Edit: Recihin, that's a 730-750 on the official book, but i would expect that to be a 750-760.

llpitch, you are incorrect about the Sufi question. Sufis were successful as missionaries because they stressed a personal relationship with Allah rather than strict Quranic doctrine, making Islam more accessible for new converts (not because they assimilated into different cultures).

I only have 9 or 10 wrong! Is that pretty much a guaranteed 800 (assuming I only got 1 or 2 of the remaining questions wrong at the most)?
