definitely JML641.

Dreambig, I would say that's a low 700 according to the official scoring guide.

So now that the scores are out, how did everyone do?

ok so i purposely avoided this thread after the test because i thought i failed it.

but i got a 760! so i'm happy

I got an 800 and I really can't be any happier WHOO HOO!!!
I usually omit about 10 questions on models but I think I made the right choice by guessing rather than omitting

800!!!!!!!!!!! I was really happy, but after going through this thread, I sort of knew in the back of my mind that I would get that magical three-digit number haha!

800! I'm happy too.. Yay! 3 800s.

770!! Nice job on all those 800s.

790! Congrats to everyone who got an 800.

hey i am planning to take SAT World History sometime later in the year... although I don't take history in school, i am very interested in history (read up on random history stuff most of the time) any advice on how i should prepare for the test? (esp from all you uber-achievers)

thanks man!

780..at least its 95% ^^

800! Wow there are a lot of 800s here.
1234d, to be honest I would not take the world sat2 if you are not taking history in school, in my opinion that would be very difficult to prepare for on your own. I was in an AP world class this year and didn't really have to study much for it, but I don't know anyone in regular global who took it, let alone in no global course at all. If you really want to though, buy the Barrons or Kaplans book and read through it multiple times during the year.

Read the Barron's world history book and you'll be good even if you haven't taken a world history course.

123, I self-studied the AP course and the SAT II without any history school course. I started self-studying in mid-November by simply reading the Barron's World History book once. Then starting mid-December I began creating a 200+ typed up study guide for the AP test. I included terms, people, documents, and concepts and thus had 4 microsoft word documents open at all times. Whenever I got the time I would read a chapter and in my own words write a summary and then find terms, people, and documents that correspond to that chapter from the book and around the web. I finished my study guide mid-March (cause of ECs, other APs to self-study, etc). Then mid-March to mid-April I read through my guide, quizzed my self, and since I wrote the guide myself, most of the information was already embedded into my head. Then from mid-April to early-May I skimmed through the barrons again. From early-May to test date I worked on getting the essay formats right and tried to visualize the general setup of a theoretical topic (like hmm, my thesis would be this, and my first par. I'd say this, second I'll say this, etc...I like to talk to myself when i study lol o.0). Two days before I took one practice from the barrons, and the second day I took another. The next week after APs I had finals so I couldnt really do anything about the SAT II. Then I flew to India to meet my relatives and also take my test there. Entangled with all the family business and annoying cousins, I had barely anytime to study for the test, so I practically crammed roughly 12-14 hours the day before to review my study guide. Had 3 hours of sleep; then 5:30 AM I left the house for the test center which was 2 hour drive from where I was staying; the rode was sooo bumpy so I got car-sick; upon reaching I was uber-stressed and almost unconscious. So I went to my corresponding room and sat down, and this indian instructor asks us to fill out the info, and while im still filling out the answer sheet she says start!!! I had to open my booklet find the page number etc as quickly as possible, and there went like 1-2 minutes of my time (it adds up). Then in the middle of the test the instructor walks up to me and picks up my book to note the number on the back of my booklet! WHILE IM TAKING THE TEST!!! Another minute!

Lol I got a little carried away...I just had to let that out :/

But anyways....123 I'll be more than willing to trade parts of my guide for some AP practice tests or past SAT Subject tests if you have them. I'll open this trade offer to anyone who needs a helpful list of peoples, documents, and/or terms you need to know for the World History SAT II and/or AP World History. Just private message me

790! Amazing, considering! :)

If you take like 4 SAT 2's, do colleges only look at your top 3? or do they give any weight to your lowest score also?

@ powerbomb: I read that some do, but most don't. It will hardly make or break your app.

Anyway, 800! Awesome, b/c it was my first SAT II and while i glanced over barron's but gave up halfway through i took a practice test and got an 800 but only by like two questions. Funny thing is I forgot today was the day until I logged on to CC and got deluged with messages about 800s.

CollegeAddiction: wow nice experience in india XD
anyway, i'd love to do some trading... i have some softcopy SAT II tests, as well as lots of notes (around AP standard) :D

750, better than i thought. took honors world history my freshman year, took this test end of my junior year...
