Ok--

It is NOT similar organisms. Listen, if two parents who have adaptive traits give rise to a similar child, the frequency of that adaptive trait will increase. This is VERY important and the key to darwin's theory.

Also, join sat2bio to discuss more quickly

Ok, for that question about LH/ovulation--it was only 2 and 3, right? because a blocked fallopian tube wouldn't allow any eggs to come through at ALL?

we've already got 4 people, join

how do you do join the chat room?

IM me--Zachsta830

i think I failed the BIO SAT M today... A lot of stuff the princeton review book didn't have! (like the influenza stuff)... I didn't finish all the questions, and I rushed through the experiment questions because of the "10 minutes remaining"... I also took math, but I also ran out of time... Should I just cancel the scores (pretty sure I got below 700) or just retake them ?(will college see the first score and take that under consideration?)

Yes, colleges do see all your test scores. If you're very worried, you probably should cancel.

Of course Darwin thought animals produced similiar ones- that's how traits got passed on.

i say cancel.

what are you aiming for?

how many wrong/blank are you predicting...the score conversion might surprise you

Ok, I really think this test was harder than general...as easy as you guys think, it seems as if there's a lot of disagreement about questions....I think the curve might be more lenient.

i'm with you , zachsta (maybe that's just wishful thinking)

I actually thought Princeton Review did a good job. I took Biology-E, and a lot of the stuff was either in Princeton Review or in the practice SAT from Real SAT's. Some of the questions were exactly the same. And I studied hormones five minutes before I walked into the test room in PR and it sure helped on those four questions at the beginning that I would have not gotten otherwise.

One thing PR did lack in though was the experiments. Some of them today were pretty easy, but some of them, especially on the E-section, were not that easy. But if I didn't get at least a 740 today, I'll be mad that I spent half my vacation studying this week!

anyone have a solid idea of the curves for bio (particularly M)? i don't know whether to trust the Real SAT IIs, Kaplan's, etc.

so what was the answer to the question about those homologous structures (with the pictures)... What did you say was the arm/wing that was used for flying... I said pictures II and III...

i think that was right, i put the ones with the animals that had really tiny, skinny bones but big wingspan. Did you all put the first one as the one who could swim?

and what did you put as the diploid number of chromosomes in the karotype? (was it 48)? And what did you say the haploid number was?

I had haploid 24 and diploid 48

Should I just cancel the scores, or retake them for a better score?

how many do you think you got wrong?
