June 2009 SAT Math

No. I scored a 640 on my last exam and I had 7 wrong and 4 omits.

The 600s drops… a lot. -4/5 is usually the cut off for 700. But anything in the 600s, can go down… steeply.

i agree jan was definitely harder, but on this test, people seem to be making lots of careless errors, so you never know

Any1 remember a Question that delt with “matching” numbers that asked something of

n+1 and 1/n-1???

@ruthless, what in the question makes it incorrect to say -1? Sorry, I’m still confused on this one lol.

bee, careless doesnt matter
there are people out there who dont make careless mistakes
so it wont effect scale
overall, this sat was much easier

ok mary basically the question asks for what value of x will u get -1
for -3 u get -1
but thats already given
so u had to find another point that gives -1
at 2 on the x axis, u get -1 again
so answer is 2

Yep I got 4 $50s 1 15 and 1 $25 I believe those are the right numbers… again I have terrible short term memory

i think the n + 1 and n - 1 question was 10.01

I am appalled at the amount of mistakes I made today. It’s not that I didn’t get the concept, it’s just the lack of reading correctly.

… Hopefully, this was nationwide!

Yeah, I made 2 careless errors.

well, same here. I did 25 - 4 as equal to 19
so mad…

stupid 2 line graph question…

i’ve never taken the SAT before and i thought it was ridiculously easy… idk why, but the practice tests in the blue book were much harder… at least as far as math goes.

To the kids who took the May SAT, was the May harder or easier?

you got to be f#$63^%3 kidding me. The triangle bisector problem was 65 and not 60. I remember working it out and getting 60. What are the odds of having -1 and an 800

fernie, u have 0% unless everyone made careless mistakes

I worked it out and got 60 as well, ferniesoccer1. Can somebody explain the reasoning behind 65? In response to your question, the odds are quite low though I’m hoping for a relatively lenient curve (-2 = 760/770 anyone?).

ok thats good. someone else is on my side. I cannot get anything hat is not an 800 on mat. I got an 800 on my Sat I math last time i took it and an 800 on my sat math iic

I couldn’t remember exactly what I got, but I just redid the problem and got 65. So I’m pretty sure that’s what I put down. Unless I just remembered the problem incorrectly, I’m pretty sure it’s 65…

apple1984, draw the diagram for me, ill solve it

@mary1237 Sorry to pester you, but could you explain how you got that answer. I’m open to the possibility that I got it wrong but I’d love to know why.
