Juniors: post your PSAT to SAT scores

10th PSAT: 192
11th PSAT: 226
11th SAT (Oct.) - 2040 (700M, 680 CR, 660 W), (April) - 2270 (770M, 770 CR, 730 W)

225/2310- 12 essay

Now why exactly do you hate the SAT's?

sophmore year PSAT- 1530 (430 critical reading, 570 math, 530 writing)

during the summer I started reading...not about SAT's but rather, books like classics, current affairs and history.

junior year PSAT- 1720 (550 Critical reading, 580 math, 590 writing)

continued reading...still not about the SAT's...took a test every saturday starting mid-May.

SAT- takin them June 3rd, gettin 2200's+ on practice tests (700 critical reading, 750 writing, 750 math) ....quite a jump eh?

Currently reading---> 'the world is flat'

impossible is nothing.

sat: 2310
psat: 234

236/2220
I got a 8 on the writing on SATI, so it pulled my score down to 690. The grammar section was also a bit lower than expected, it was a 710.

206/2130.

meh, I'm retaking. most of you guys put me to shame :(. lol

220/2160.

I probably need to work harder.

213/2300

This is from my junior PSAT score, and 1st SAT score. Graduating in 4 weeks as of now.

221/2320

CR and Math stayed the same, Writing increased 11 or 110 points, depending on which scale you use. That's with no studying, by the way. Not retaking.

Ivy_07, your scores don't add up. If you got a 690 Writing and a 710 CR, that would mean you had to get an 820 on the Math to get a 2220 total, as you claim. I could just be reading it wrong, though...

Sophmore PSAT: 200 (69M 60CR 71W)
Junior PSAT: 218 (70M 76CR 72W)
Junior SAT: 2300 (700M 800CR 800W)

I just showed up for the sophmore PSAT... I found it interesting and pretty much decided that I should prep before next year. I bought some SAT books over summer and read the relevant material (no essay tips) the week before the PSAT. It helped some, but I think a major factor was that I was a lot more motivated and was expecting it. I did maybe six weeks of prep before the April SAT; I took a practice test every Saturday following protocol. I went over all my mistakes, and I think I learned from them.

I think the reason why my math didn't rise is that the lost points were always stupid mistakes. If anyone has any tips on eliminating those, please share ;()

176/1840.

Pretty good, I guess...

When I was a junior, I got 208/2130. I retook the SAT last October to get 2340 (800W 800CR 740M :( )

201/2040

retaking this sat gahh

PSAT 227 (80 W, 80 M, 67 CR)
SAT (first time) 2150 (760 W, 700 M, 690 CR)
math was waaaay lower than I thought it would be....hopefully ill get good news tomorrow morning

PSAT 198
SAT 2180
(retaking this weekend... aahh! run and hide)

PSAT doesnt make that much of a difference...just lets you know to what extent you are screwed for the SAT

PSAT junior yr M 80, W 80, CR 67
SAT junior yr M 760, W 760, CR 710

40 point drop in Math and Writing, 40 point raise in CR....meaning a total difference of 40 in composite hmmm

psat CR 53 WR 55 M 69
sat CR 560 WR 630 M 660
