Just got the Barrons Math Level 2 book, and am looking to improve my 600 Math SAT score, need help!

Where do I stop reviewing, I do plan on practicing for the ACT, which this will cover, but what is the farthest the SAT will cover? I don’t have much time till the March test, so I want to try and review as much as possible. Here are the major topics the book covers.

Functions
Linear Functions
Quadratic Functions
Higher Degree Polynomials
Solving Polynomial Inequalities
Triangle Trigonometry
Trigonometric Functions
Exponential and Logarithmic Functions
Rational Functions
Parametric Equations
Piecewise Functions
Transformations and Symmetry
Conic Sections
Polar Coordinates
Three-Dimensional Geometry
Counting
Complex Numbers
Matrices
Sequences and Series
Statistics
Vectors
Probability

Someone is probably going to say I should focus on my weak areas, but honestly I feel my weak area is everything. So I’m going to just study the hell out of this book and do some Khanacademy exercises here and there to polish my skills. Thanks in advance guys!

I would not review solving polynomial inequalities, parametric equations, polar coordinates, 3-D geometry, or vectors. Majority of the ACT and SAT math will be up to Geometry with 1 or 2 questions about Pre-Calculus topics. The SAT Math II is slightly more Pre-Calc weighted, but there is no Calculus (so no limits, derivatives, integrals). Also I received perfect on all of the math sections of these tests (ACT, SAT, SAT Math II) while not having every answer correct. This is why I would recommend you study Geometry shortcuts and rules as you already have a strong foundation (given your 600). Do not worry about Pre-Calc concepts for those 1 or 2 questions on the ACT or SAT, because they will only slightly change your score, if at all. Studying Geometry will give you the most improvement. Good luck!

Get a book for the test you are taking, or use khan academy. It’s much more efficient to use practice materials for your actual test.
