Arrived via priority mail this morning.
The letter is dated 3/27, and postmarked the 28th.

congrats!!

So most likely all Cali letters are out today?

wow congrats! they must have sent out the letters...I guess I need to wait a while since I'm international. Hope it's not a rejection...sigh...

YEAH!!!! I got in...........I guess this fills the hole that Stanford bore through me yesterday................kinda

I have a feeling my letter will help Stanford's hole get bigger. My interviewer and I didn't click, and I didn't write the optional essay. Hurray for more rejection! Though this one is my fault mostly.

Where do you guys live? I live in Norcal (Bay Area) and haven't gotten anything... pretty sure I got rejected :(

AHH OH MY GOD!! so you guys live in california?? maybe mine will come soon i live in oregon! ahhhhh

ACCEPTED!!!!

yay

I'm only 15 minutes from campus, but good luck to those far away!

Aaah I'm going to get waitlisted, I just know it...I live two states up from Pomona, so our mail should probably be here by Monday or so.

will people who have been accepted post their stats?? i won't be home to get my letter until the 5th of April, so I would love to fill my time by reading about who got in :)

Click4rm, where do you live?? I'm six blocks from campus, haha.

Accepted too!!! I am completely shocked--I heard that faculty brats have a hard time of it because we don't increase diversity (~50% of my genetic material has the gall to skulk around Pearsons on a regular basis).

The letter is two pages long and very personal and nice.

Stats business?

SAT: 2250 (M 710, V 740, Wr 800)
SAT IIs: 800 WH, 780 USH, 720 Bio-M
GPA: somewhere in the neighborhood of a 4.2 weighted. >3.9 uw.
AP's: 5's on WH, Comp, USH, Bio, Lit. 4 on Calc BC. (I'm taking engineering physics, micro/macro econ, gov, stats, and french this year. and PE. haha.)

I'm a white female without any particular hooks. I go to public school less than a mile from campus. My essays were really good, though, I think, and I expect my recommendations were decent. I skipped freshman english so I took a junior-level Pomona English class last semester and got an A+...so that might partially explain my good fortune.

Ooh, and I have been very involved in Speech and Debate for all of my high school career, have done several internships, and am president of several clubs at my high school.

I got mine too!

I got that small letter today. I live like half an hour from pomona.
well, i congratulate all those who have gotten in, and best wishes to those who are still waiting!
i guess im off to sd.

Nada for me in Nor Cal

didnt hear. i live in southern california. neighbor got waitlisted. weird....

I GOT IN! Wow, I was so surprised that I almost cried.

all i have to say about stats is that my SAT scores are probably 200 points below yours and i have no hook. see tests mean nothing (or at least i like to think so).

Congrats Lupe!

You were deferred right? Did you send anything after you were deferred?

For those who have gotten their letter, can you enlighten those who have not. What does an admit letter look like -- regular envelope? thin? thick? Something else? Please describe -- thanks!!

well, the rejection letter looked just like a small regular white envelope. You wouldnt have known it was from pomona except for its name written in the top left corner.
