<p>Anyone else applying to good ol’ OSU? Their honors/scholars program is pretty spiffy… plus as a student you can get season football tickets!</p>

<p>oh i was there! my family has had season tix for forever (actually, that's one of the big reasons why I don't why OSU isn't one of my top choices... it's too close!)</p>
<p>just forget me, that's the main reason I'm not that interested in it! Living in columbus, it's so close! If I lived in northern or southern ohio, I might actually like the prospect of going there better</p>
<p>btw: I think their honors program is awesome compared to a lot of other colleges</p>
<p>haha that's funny! i'm from the cincy area so one of the reasons i want to go there is because it's far enough, but not too far. one of the reasons i don't want to go to Miami U. is that it's only 15-30 minutes from my house.</p>
<p>I'm actually really interested in miami u. because of it's distance from my home! But, it's a bit too small for my tastes (in terms of oxford)</p>
<p>Celebrian-Have you gone to one of the Honors/Scholars seminar things? I went to a Saturday morning one a while back, pretty awesome. But, like you said, OSU is just too close. I mean, I go and hang out on campus some weekends... I need something new.</p>
<p>Hey Columbus people, where do you go to school? I live near OSU too, I sent in my app acouple days ago.</p>
<p>Does anyone know whether your class rank has to be exactly what they say to get into Honors/scholars, or if it's on an individual basis. Also, I thought your app was automatically reviewed for honors/scholars, but my friend said she thought there was something you had to put on your app, and I already turned mine in! </p>

<p>If you got in would you actually go? Because right now OSU is my last choice, which is sad, but true. It's just too big and impersonal for me. Too many damn TAs!!</p>
<p>I think Honors/Scholars is automatic. I heard that if you were on the bubble, there was some extra essay you could do? I dunno. OSU is definitely my safety, but I think I'd still have a good time if I went there.</p>
<p>I'm kinda ****ed right now, I checked my status and my transcript is supposedly missing. I'm 90% sure my GC sent it with the other forms...</p>

<p>They say 6-8 weeks. I'm pretty sure my app won't go to committee, so I'm hoping I'll hear back quicker than that.</p>
<p>I sent in my application towards the end of October and I heard by mid-November. It only took them about 3-4 weeks to send a letter of acceptance.</p>
<p>Ack, I'm REALLY freaking out. I sent in my app mid-November and I still haven't heard. I've talked to at least 6 people who turned theirs in after me and they have all gotten in, it only took 2-3 weeks! </p>

<p>I've checked my status since I turned in my app, I'm always "under evaluation".</p>
<p>I did get honors program stuff from OSU Marion the other day, as did my friend who was already accepted to the Columbus campus. I'm still waiting for my letter though...</p>
