and I'm just wondering if someone can provide basic stats, ones with international acceptance etc. would be the best since I'm from Canada. What kind of ACT score/GPA/ECs/Comm. service hours do you need to have a good chance of acceptance. just asking for some basic info to see how I compare.

and one more thing, are they like Berkeley in that out of state/international students have a dramatically lower chance of getting accepted?

thnx to anyone who answers :D

i don't know the stats for sure, but if you go to the princeton review website, it's a really good source for information on colleges in general
the kind of ACT/GPA you'll need varies by school- ie for stern your ACT would probably have to be higher than if you were applying to CAS. as far as SAT scores though (in general), i'd guess from 1380+ you'd be good.
and NYU's def not like berkeley in that way....the reason it's so hard to get into berkeley out of state is b/c it's a UC school. there are a lot of international/ out of state students at NYU- over 70% i think

And the results threads etc on this forum too.

i've always wondered how accurate princetonreview is because i heard it hasn't been updated in like 5 years or something?

I just read that NYU has no campus, is this true or did I just misunderstand. I was just quickly glancing through so misunderstanding is likely.

NYU is just a bunch of buildings strewn across Manhattan, most of which concentrated in Greenwich Village/Washington Square Park.

the princeton review stats are really old and need to be updated

I don't know about official stats but I think NYU likes international students. I think they like a diverse student body. I am an international student from the UK who is at NYU now and honestly I think that helped rather than hindered my application.
