For any of you that studied with the Kaplan US History prep book, how much did you improve your score on the real test after the diagnostic test?

I got 630 on the diagnostic (I know it sux), and I'm getting a little worried now.

Kaplan tests are more difficult than the real one imo. i haven't gotten my score back but i'm pretty sure i scored better than a 730 (what i got on the diagnostic). knocks on wood i hope i didn't jinx myself

Nice, did you leave any blank? What's your strategy? Because on the diagnostic I didn't leave any blank and just went for some questions even if I didn't have a clue.

Did you find that the Kaplan review and 3 other practice tests helped out? Thanks.

no blanks. i never do (except for AP physics, where it's plain stupidity to guess if you don't know, i learned that the hard way) anyways. i didn't really study for kaplan book b/c it was ap test so all the info was still pretty fresh. i reviewed the timelines, looked up random facts i didn't know and tried to retain them as well as possible. i knew all the main ideas and popular questions and such. i'd suggest practicing looking at graphs/cartoons since there were quite a few and it's rather time consuming. for guessing, i tried to eliminate as many as possible and then just went for it, i hate leaving things blank. on the next three tests, i went up to 750, 760, 780. they didn't really help. i think sparknotes tests are closer to the SAT II exam.
