I got that too.

I have the very same screen. Mr. Angelo Lee just emailed me too saying that the decision was mailed today and that we should receive the hardcopy soon.

He also said decisions should be posted by this afternoon …obviously, that does not seem to be the case. so the waiting continues …

Still not posted. Hopefully since my home address is 20 minutes from Lehigh it will arrive in the mail tomorrow, if they were mailed out today. If not, I’m hoping they’re posted on the portal tomorrow. I can’t wait any longer!

Decisions were posted, I got accepted!! Assuming i can afford it, I’ll be there in the fall studying economics!! Best of luck to everyone else here.

I got accepted too!! I cannot believe it!

I got in too! Has anyone received transfer credit information or financial aid stuff? Good luck to everyone!

Congrats you two! I haven’t received financial aid or anything yet, but I know that it comes after the acceptance letter.

Accepted!!

Out of curiosity, to everyone who was accepted, what grades did you have and what kinds of activities did you participate in?
(I wasn’t accepted, and am a little curious about the competition)

no problem
i’m a bio major (pre-med) at NYU. i had about a 3.93 in high school and a 3.767 last semester here at NYU. I do a few clubs but mostly volunteer work. And I have a job as a fundraiser right now. And that’s about it. I definitely did more activities in hs than i do now, but that didn’t affect the decision i guess.

congrats to everyone who was accepted!

to soxfan04: I am sorry to hear that I can tell you that I graduated high school with a borderline 3.8/3.9 GPA and completed my first semester at my community college with a 4.0. In high school I was actively involved in community service at my local library, involved in my orchestra and marching band, while also maintaining a job, among other things. but i had some personal circumstances that I think helped define my application and so rather than saying that my admittance was based on the grades, I think Lehigh looks at your background and why you are so interested in Lehigh University. I feel like this is what makes you stand out.

Hey guys! I just got accepted as a transfer to Lehigh today! I’m super excited as I got wait-listed when I applied as a freshman. Im technically a second semester sophomore due to AP credit. I’m transferring from Pitt and I’m really glad I’m not the only fall 2012 transfer lol. Has anyone else heard back yet?

congrats courlie! I too was waitlisted last year, when I applied as a freshman. Glad to know that I was not the only one! Mr. Lee said the materials were mailed yesterday and so we should receive them by the end of this week. Hopefully this will include the financial aid information as well as the credit evaluation.

Accepted!!!
@soxfan04: sorry to hear that… well anyway i had 3.74 at Community College in California. I guess my only outstanding point was the summer internship i did at investment bank (nothing great, just local but still ).
Well Congrats to who got accepted : ) i’m still waiting on the others…

I didn’t get accepted. Congrats to those of you who did!

I’m not sure why I didn’t stand out. I had a 3.6 GPA at my current 4 year school.
I have work experience, and I am involved in extra curricular activities mostly outside of my campus but they take a lot of my time and I have been involved for a couple years. I have leadership positions. I also did a summer internship in my major.

My high school and SAT performance was above average but not tremendous. Is that what made the difference? Or my admission essay?

@halo92 It could have been your admissions essay. I had a 3.6 GPA also at my 4-year school, but that was after 90 credits so maybe they also look into the body of work. My SAT scores and HS GPA was what i’d consider good, but not great. I also had a lot of extracurriculars, including one extracurricular that absolutely stood out. I would suggest applying again, if you have <45 or <60 credits, they might want to see a bigger body of college excellence to counteract just “above average” HS grades. Good luck, we’ve all been rejected to something we’ve wanted and if you decide that Lehigh is for you in the future, persistence will pay off.

Also to accepted students: my package came today, mine did not have financial aid information or credit transfer information. It contained an acceptance letter and a form to send back if we decide to enroll.

I agree with Antonioc222. If you truly envision yourself as a student at Lehigh, do not give up. If you show your persistence, they will see that you clearly love the school and that they should have considered you more highly. If interested, you should consider applying for the spring semester. My advice would be to show Lehigh why you think the school would be a good place for you but also how you see yourself as a part of Lehigh …basically, I would make it clear that you love Lehigh and why you love it so much, why it is a great university. Don’t give up! And hey, perhaps you may see yourself studying elsewhere. Don’t close that option either. Take the time to consider things and see what makes you most happy. Best of luck.

so i contacted financial aid and apparently it’s supposed to be posted on the portal?

mine wasn’t but I asked and they kindly told me my package. Unfortunately, I received terrible news. I would be expected to pay approximately $43,000 a year plus pay back loans once I graduate. In total, I basically received only $5,000 aid that I would not have to pay back. I am really upset about this because my family income is approximately $20,000 a year and thus there is no way I can afford that. I should be paying very little, if anything at all.

I’m hoping that now they see who has decided to enroll that the financial aid package can be changed. Hopefully aid from the students who decided not to enroll will be used for us transfer students because if not, I cannot attend Lehigh
anyone find out they have better financial aid?

Very disappointed with FA package!! Accepted, but no financial aid received other than self help (Federal Loans & Workstudy). Total Lehigh Grants = $0. EFC is about $6000 so expected significant grant $$. FA Message states: “because of the demands on our resources, we are not able to offer you Lehigh grant assistance.” Did others get this message? Did anyone transferring get Grant $$?

My EFC was supposed to be 0! I emailed financial aid and explained to them to please reconsider financial aid packages for transfer students. again, i think now that the may 1st deadline for enrollment has passed, Lehigh should have an idea of how many students there are who decided not to enroll and thus be able to use those financial aid packages towards us…I’m truly hoping so.

To everyone: I would suggest contacting financial aid and saying the same thing that I said. If many of us contact them, I’m sure it will convince them to reevaluate these packages.

Also Ashleyrl: how are you accessing your financial aid through the portal? and also it says there is a survey to be completed, but where is this? i feel like i’m missing something on my portal
