Thank you all so much for your thoughts!!!!

I think you have a shot and your chances will be higher if you raise your ACT scores, putting you in a higher percentile. Your ECs are strong and show off your ability to take on leadership and participate in a wide range of our passions. The UW GPA is quite stellar as well. Out of curiosity, why Lehigh for English?

@shawnspencer Good question! I’m considering studying english at many schools because simply that’s what I’m interested in. Specifically Lehigh though because with regard to their english department, their programs of study combine with social justice programs and offer a unique combination with historical studies. I’m also interested in history so that appealed to me. I know I must have just sounded like a Lehigh brochure just then, but that’s honestly why I’m looking at Lehigh. Thankya!<3

Lehigh - match
Good luck!

@nnocnat2 That’s actually quite interesting! I never knew that they had social justice programs combined with their english department. If I were to take any sort of english classes, that would be the kind I was interested in. Props for you for doing your research on the school. I was curious because I have a couple of friends that are going to lehigh and they are all going into some sort of engineering, which lehigh is strong in, but you seem to have made a great choice. good luck!

Lehighis a grear match. Your studies are lined up with most students found at Lehigh. You show you have a lot of driveand leadership with the classes and groups you are involved with. Also with you being Puerto Rican, you bring diversity. I think your a good fit! Plus your only a Junior! Your ACT score is great, it would be better to get it higher, you’re right on track. I’m a now senior applying to Lehigh early decision. Honestly I can do more than I should compared to you. Sadly my school is a hispanic charter school that doesn’t offer much AP or rigourous classes. Please if anyone reads this, go to my post Lehigh university acceptance chance early decision.

I’m a rising junior at Lehigh and I would say your credentials make you a good match for lehigh. Your ACT score is not bad at all, but it never hurts to get it up.

I just read an article about admissions @ Lehigh AND THEY REALLY WANT TO SEE INTEREST! They take it into account. So, if I were you, I’d shoot them an email ASAP. Ask for some sort of email correspondence with a current student in an english major, ask about academic programs, ask about campus life, ask about visiting (and if you can’t visit, tell them you want to!)

Is this your first choice?

I can’t really comment on your chances because I am in your same shoes (senior applying college)-- what do I know! The suggestion above is just my 2 cents

@sallymeno11 That is some GREAT advice! I’ll be sure to do that. Thank you so much! Best of luck to you as well!

ok…if thats actually ur picture…go to lehigh

@karthik926 Idk if I should be flattered or insulted… I’m here for college insight… so offer some, or don’t comment

Im sorry, I didn’t mean to offend you (you should be flattered btw)…I think you have a solid shot at lehigh for the following reasons:

A 30 ACT is on-par with the rest of Lehigh’s accepted applicants
Your UW GPA is approximately .2 above Lehigh’s average
Your course rigor is above average for an average Lehigh student
You are an underrepresented Minority (Big deal because Lehigh is trying to diversify its student body)
Also, you have interesting ECs

In general, you are a very well rounded individual which is what Lehigh loves to see…thus, maybe you should look into Lehigh’s “IDEAS honors program” (if you are also interested in Engineering).

To raise your chances of acceptance, VISIT LEHIGH TWICE. I am saying this because Lehigh puts a ton of emphasis on demonstrated interest (probably almost as much as your grades)

CHANCE ME BACK!!!

Sources: …Lehigh’s IBE Honors program is my first choice (I am applying ED.)
