I have a question on how I'm suppose to send my documents like letter of recommendations and such. I just gave my teachers my brag sheets and the form 4? for them to fill out. Are they suppose to mail it? If they do what envelope size is required by USC, or what envelope size should i use? I was planning on just faxing it.

I was also wondering if there are any rules to faxing all my forms. Like my unofficial sat/act scores, is only my high school allowed to send it to USC through fax? or can i do it myself through my home fax?

If my school faxes it, and i don't want to go through that trouble, may i just mail it in? and how should i do so?

Same with my transcripts, should i just put my transcript in an envelope and mail it to USC? What address? and where should i put by USC ID#?

Please reply soon.THank you

There is no “envelope size” required by USC. Use whatever envelope you prefer.

Recommendations: Yes, fill out your part of form 4 and give it to your recommender(s). They fill out the form, attach a letter of recommendation and seal it in an envelope. Typically, a recommender signs across the seal to verify that they sealed the envelope, but that is not required by USC. You cannot FAX recommendations, because if you open them, they are no longer sealed by your recommender and carry no weight.

Unofficial SAT/ACT scores: Yes, you can FAX them from any FAX, or you can put them in a larger envelope with other materials you are mailing. Because they are unofficial, they do not have to come from an official source. Remember that you must also order official score reports.

Transcripts cannot generally be FAXed, because they must be sealed and marked “official” by your school registrar. Do not open them to FAX, because if you do they are no longer official and you will need to order another official copy. You can FAX an unofficial copy if you feel the official copy will arrive after the deadline. An official copy would still be required as soon as possible.

Admissions Address: The address is in the post immediately above **your recent post **on the Admissions FAQ thread.

Yes, your USC ID# should appear on all materials you send. Put it where someone looking at the materials will see it. The front of the sealed envelopes as part of the return address would work, for example.
