<p>I toured Madison like a month ago. I originally didn't want to stay in Wisconsin, but I heard that Madison is a very progressive/liberal city. I'm a lesbian, and I'm sick of the homophobia that I'm currently surrounded by. Is Madison actually very queer-positive? Would it be easy to find a social circle? Is there a strong "alternative" scene like the internet makes it seem? </p>
<p>It seemed like a really cool school that might be worth four plus more years of Wisconsin winters, but it also kind of sounded to good to be true. </p>
