Life after rejection, where to apply?

So, i got rejected from Northwestern under ED, and i feel like SH**, to say the least. I just applied to Univ of Il-urbana champaign, but what other private schools are easier than NW, but harder/better than U of I?

-notre dame?
-georgetown?
-boston college?

..another set back is my midyear school report is definitely really bad, i started to slack, since it was senior year (BAD IDEA). and HOPEFULLY i can get in one more test for SATs or SAT subject tests.

SAT
M:740
V:590
W:600

ACT: 29, 11 on writing

..... help, please!!

V:590
W:600

thats why you got rejected from NW, you shouldnt even applied to begin with...anything lower than a 600 is bad.

Is IWU a better school than UIUC?

any others? are notre dame and georgetown out of the picture???

Most likely...I think you had the same chance at NW as ND, and Georgetown accepted 8% less than ND last year.

yikes! what if i retake the sats??

BC, BU, Villanova, Vanderbilt, even NYU might be worth looking into.

What's your GPA?

4.6- weighted
ranking: 9 of 735

What are you wanting to study?

If you retake SATs and get those V/W up to 650s or so (higher is even better) you're looking good for GT, etc. etc. Your rank and GPA are very good, and I'm sure you can do better on those SATs :)

sweeeet, thanx man. butttt... they all recommend SAT ii's, which i did really bad on. what happens if i dont have time to retake them? will not submitting any scores hurt my chances?

All candidates, whether they submit scores from the SAT or ACT, should submit scores from 3 SAT II subject tests. The writing portion on the new SAT will not be substituted for an SAT II subject test score.

here's what georgetown says.

Might try Holy Cross -better than Villanova and equal to BC. Also Holy Cross is SAT optional

Bumppppppp

Bummmmpppp, Come On Guys, Any Input Is Appreciated!

try to apply to some schools where sats are optional

those SATs arent bad enough to be applying to SAT optional schools

come on its a 1330, dont act like its that bad

what do u guys think about georgetown though. If i can pull the verbal scores to upper 600's...are my chances still EXTREMELY slim??

ACT: 29, 11 on essay

rank:9 of 735

pretty good ECs

what are your SAT II scores? you have to have 3 of them for GTown.

-embarrassed- upper 500s and lower 600s. should i retake my SAT ii scores instead of sat i?

oh, and if anyone is an aim junkie like me... feel free to IM me
