interesting ec's.... im unique, but didnt think unique enough to get a letter and make up for a 39 rank. these letters better be 4real or im gonna be ****ed haha

I didn't get a likely letter because I didn't cure cancer.

I only took every AP class my schedule would possibly allow. I skipped all the prerequisite classes possible to do so also. Don't know what the heck they're looking for.

I'm not worried though.

I didn't cure cancer...I'm really not that special and quite frankly I'd be surprised if an Ivy admitted me...likely letter does not equal superstar

I'm definitely NOT a superstar and got a likely letter...I mean my grades are good and my ECs are decent but I don't have anything too out of the ordinary, or so I thought anyway.

Y'know what... I'll bet the likely letters are about the essays. Just my guess, haha, I don't have any data to back me up. But I know UNC loves reading a good essay.

They need to get cable..... lol

Hahah, they don't have time! You figure 20,000 applications, two essays per app. That takes awhile, and somehow they manage to figure it out early. UNC has their act together.

hm i could see that bc i dominated those essays, this thread is annoying me for lack of definitive information and i would rather have not gotten a likely letter and lived in ignorant rejection-awaiting bliss.

Not me. I wanted a likely letter so I wouldn't have to wait in NC State fearing "bliss". :(
