Likely Letters

<p>Has UPenn's round of likely letters been sent out yet? It seems like in the past years they are sent out during this week or the next week. Also, do applicants to the special programs (M&T, LSM, etc) receive these as well?</p>

<p>I was just about to start this thread! I wouldn’t be surprised if they were sent out tomorrow…then again they can be sent anytime from mid-Feb to early-March so who knows</p>

<p>haha colleges are always mysterious about these letters. Have you heard of any other colleges sending theirs out yet?</p>

<p>Apparently Brown began sending them out (according to someone on the Brown RD forums)</p>

<p>No idea…seeing as I have no idea the type of applicants who get into these schools. But recruited athletes are most likely and then the real top of the top in terms of academic/non-athletic applicants.</p>

<p>wow 45 Percenter nice find! I heard some schools have their admission officers call before the actual letter is delivered? Is UPenn traditionally a snail-mail deliverer?</p>

<p>From what I know, UPenn actually emails out a link to a special video. </p>

<p>That being said, I don’t know if Penn did the email/video last year so we might just be waiting on snail-mail.</p>

<p>As I recall, an email with a video link has gone out the last few years (probably followed by a hard-copy letter).</p>

<p>it is possible for the Financial aid admission’s office to send a likely letter… something like </p>

<p>"Allow me to be one of the first to congratulate you on your recent acceptance! "</p>

<p>and then go on to tell me that i need to submit the CSS profile and they wnt provide me with CSS fee waiver codes ??</p>

<p>the email is from upenn… but… im still confused… im international… Bangladesh… </p>

<p>do they send them out to randomly accepted people or is it like to the people that are at the top of the accepted student pool?</p>

<p>The top. Theory is, they can steal these top students from other schools by having them consider Penn from earlier on.</p>

<p>That’s a tweet from Penn Admissions. Seems to imply that the likely letters were sent out already.</p>
