On the stats part of the Wellesley site, it says that almost 50% of EE applicants are admitted, but I'm wondering if that includes the 'possible' and 'unlikely' applicants who were 'deferred' to the regular pool who were eventually admitted in the spring.

aussiek517: I just had my 'e-mail interview' with Brown and it made me deliriously excited about the school. It's one of my top choices, and it will be a hard rejection to swallow, that's for sure. Anyways, good luck, and congrats on the 'likely'!

When are the early evaluation letters mailed? (What date(s) do the rest of you have postmarked on yours? ) I already received the letter stating that they would send me a "likely, maybe, or unlikely" letter, (which I found redundant) but I'm an international student, so that came a little late (half way through feb, I think).

Just be patient, I have friends in sg and it takes a week or so to send mail over there. Besides, I didn't get my letter for 4 days (Feb. 22) after most people here in the US got theirs, and I live in Ohio which isn't all that far away.
That being said...good luck! :D

unlikely :( But I got a note from an admissions officer! She said Wellesley is still a little reluctant to look at home-schooled students, however stellar, and that she was sure that I would get into excellent schools in April. I was very moved.

I received a likely letter here in southcentral PA. I was so surprised! Definitely wasn't expecting it.
740 V 650 M
30 ACT
5 on AP US History exam
5.4 weighted GPA out of 5, other stuff I don't feel like posting
I've written 21 articles for my local newspaper since my sophomore year, among other stuff

Other schools I've applied to: York College of PA(admitted w/ scholarship), Franklin and Marshall, Villanova, Pitt(accepted into honors college w/ scholarship), U Delaware honors, Cornell, Harvard, American, George Washington
While I am slightly worried about the availability of guys to date at Wellesley, that's a minor issue. I definitely am so excited about this school! Good luck to everyone here!

arg...still waiting. Honestly, between now and March,...and eventually April when it comes, I can imagine that a lot of postal vehicles will be stalked by very anxious seniors - including me (the elation that I feel at the sight of a red, white and blue post vehicle and the disappointment I go through when no mail appears in my letter box is almost comical to the rest of my family. ) Now back to the waiting. drums fingers

HAHAAHA! APPLE! i so feel the same way. it's killing me. everyday, i run down to the mailbox and quickly go through the mail hoping to find a package, or at least an envelope from a school i haven't heard from yet... sigh if only i could speed time up... :P oh well! until then, i wait... (kinda reminds me of that song, and i raaan... i raan so far away... LOL Y i dunno!) k. soo.... hows everyone? haha

lol, you guys are funny.. but i know how you feel applesatyr and xaguamelonx! i got a likely letter from wellesley, but then i keep thinkin' that somehow it won't end up being an acceptance letter 'cus like nanaama725, i too am very surprised! but yeah, i'm also waiting on other schools and decisions on honors applications and stuff so i agree, waiting sucks. :-)

hey did anyone get a package from wellesley that was addressed to their parents? at first i thought they changed their minds about my decision. but then it was allllll good. just a letter to my rents encouraging them to encourage me to go and they attached this journal/story/whatever of one of their graduates who's now at harvard med.

what is this other thing that you guys are getting?
