does wash u send likely letters? what other schools do and when?

I guess you hope that Duke does? ;)

I don’t know if WashU sends out likely letters, but I’m pretty sure that minorities get their acceptances a week or two early so that they can attend an earlier “Diversity” weekend instead of Admit Weekend.

^Diversity weekend is in mid-late April.

Everyone gets their acceptance letters at the same time, generally mid-March (from what I recall my year) - If you get your acceptance letter on (ie) March 15th, you have plenty of time to decide to go to multicultural weekend.

Edit: Just checked, diversity weekend (aka multicultural weekend/ celebrations weekend) is april 15th - 16th this year.

Also to note, scholarship finalists DO find out earlier than everyone else (2 weeks?), since finalists weekends are all in march.

Silly question but if you are a scholarship finalist are you for sure accepted to the university?

stockmom123 - If you are a finalist and invited to Scholars Weekend - you can consider yourself to be accepted. Finalists are usually notified the end of February or the begining of March.
